LAPTOP LCD REMOVAL INSTRUCTION :
Tools Need: Philips Screw Driver, Flat Head Screw Driver, Part storage box.
Step 1:
Laptop LCD is covered under plastic bezel, which surrounds it from back and front. Plastic cover has 4 to 8 screws, which are hidden under 4 to 8 plastic stickers. Find out four plastic stickers (dots) in four corner of plastic bezel and remove it. Store those in part storage box, as you might need those while installing replacement LCD.

Step 2:
As screws are removed, Laptop bezel is no more attached to hinges. You can gently split bezel using both hands or Flat head Screw Driver. Don’t pressurize, as it might be glued to hinges. Sony, Apple and some no name brand laptop has bezel glued with hinges in that case; Un necessary pressure will break plastic. In those special cases you might need technical help from service centers.

Step 3:
Once bezel is removed you can easily see two connections. One is in back of LCD, which is LCD harness cable, which is flex cable- drives data to Laptop LCD from motherboard. You can gently unplug it from LCD. Make sure don’t pull it off from motherboard end. It runs from motherboard to LCD and you have to disconnect it from LCD end not motherboard end. You can use hands gently to pull cable from LCD cable connector (LCD socket).
Step 4:
Second and last remaining connection is Laptop LCD connection to Laptop Inverter. Laptop inverter is green high voltage chip, which nothing else then power controlling transformer. Which is connected to Laptop LCD by LCD Lamp (Bulb) connector plug. Mostly those wires are coated with pink color, white color, and blue color plastic. Unplug those connections.
